Young Crossrail STEM Ambassadors

Young Crossrail STEM Ambassadors are employees of the Crossrail supply chain who volunteer their time to inspire young people in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) subjects.

Delivered in partnership with STEMNET – the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Network – Ambassadors are available to attend talks and events at schools close to the Crossrail route, as well as Further Education colleges across London and the South East.

To date, Young Crossrail STEM Ambassadors have volunteered for all kinds of youth engagement activities including:

  • Mentoring sessions
  • Careers fairs
  • Talks
  • Networking events
  • Competition judging

All Ambassadors are fully CRB checked and able to talk about the Crossrail programme as a whole, or share their own professional experiences.

Although Young Crossrail is aimed specifically at those schools closest to the Crossrail route, the Ambassador programme is part of nationwide scheme operated by STEMNET; if you are not based within our area, contact STEMNET for your local contact.

For further information/to suggest a volunteering opportunity for a Young Crossrail STEM Ambassador email youngcrossrail@crossrail.co.uk or contact the Crossrail Helpdesk on 0345 602 3813.
